Project Overview
Engagement Activities
Share your thoughts through online and paper surveys. These will help us gather broad input on what people love about downtown Parksville and what improvements they’d like to see.
Join us for lively and interactive town hall meetings where you can discuss your ideas and hear from others in the community. These meetings will be a space for open dialogue and collaboration.
Participate in smaller, more focused discussions on specific topics such as green spaces, local businesses, arts and culture, and transportation. These groups will delve deeper into particular areas of interest.
Have a personal conversation with a member of our team. We want to hear your unique perspective and experiences to ensure all voices are included.
Update: Imagine Parksville Downtown is officially underway!
The steering committee had their first meeting in mid-August, and we’re moving full steam ahead! Let’s come together to shape the future of Parksville Downtown!
We’re eager to learn more about the unique identity of our downtown, understand current community perceptions, and explore exciting opportunities and aspirations for the future of Parksville Downtown. The more voices we hear, the more impactful and successful our project will be.
During our Engagement Week, William Bakker from DAAR Place Consulting will be leading discussions with business members, residents, community groups, property owners, and First Nations.
We’re also on the lookout for unique meeting spaces that will inspire creative, out-of-the-box thinking! If you know of any vacant, unusual, or creative spaces—anything but stuffy boardrooms!—please let us know.
