Parksville Downtown is looking for some committed, enthusiastic and responsible volunteers to join our event planning team for our upcoming 2024 events. Please fill in the application below to be considered for this position. We will be selecting volunteers on a rolling basis, from February 2024 onwards. All volunteers joining our team will receive training, along with opportunities for growth and positive connections in the community. No experience required!

The Great Parksville Downtown Pumpkin Smash
Get ready for one of Parksville Downtown’s messiest and most entertaining traditions — The Great Parksville Downtown Pumpkin Smash! Join us on November 1 at 1:00pm in Memorial Plaza as our incredible Parksville Firefighters and Rescue team lift Halloween pumpkins high into the air on the top of their firetruck ladder before dropping them into the centre of the Plaza for a smashing good time! Bring your carved pumpkins, enjoy the excitement, and help support a great cause with donations going to the Firefighters Assistance Fund. Every Tuesday beginning June 9, the streets come alive with vendors, food trucks, music, and people enjoying the best of summer.
